What are Explorer Scouts?
Explorer Scouts is an opportunity for 14 – 18 year olds to meet weekly and take part in a wide range of outdoor and social activities and also, if so interested, to work towards various awards including Duke of Edinburgh, Queens Scout and various NGB certificates.
The 29th Glasgow Scout Group has an active and adventurous Explorer Scout Unit.
The unit meets on Monday nights from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Outdoor activity and adventure are at the root of our programme.
Our programme is designed by our members, and as such our activities are numerous and varied. Along with the classic scouting skills of orienteering, pioneering, navigation, camping, first aid and hill walking, we enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, night nav, survival and bivvy camping, lightweight camping etc
