SECTIONS

The 29th Glasgow Scout Group currently consists of seven sections; two Beaver colonies, three Cub packs, two Scout sections and an Explorer Sea Scout unit.

Please find below information on each section.

Beavers logo

The Monday Beaver colony is open to young people aged 6 to 8 who:

  • Master new skills and try things
  • Have fun and go on adventures
  • Make friends
  • Are curious about the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, on their own doorsteps and beyond

Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

Monday evenings during school term time, from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

The Tuesday Beaver colony is open to young people aged 6 to 8 who:

Wednesday evenings during school term time, from 7.00pm until 8.45pm.

The Thursday Scout pack is open to young people aged 10½ to 14 who:

  • Master new skills and try things
  • Make new friends
  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
  • Explore the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.

Thursday evenings during school term time, from 7.00pm until 8.45pm.

Explorers logo

Explorer Sea Scouts are a go-getting group of young people aged 14 to 18.

Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Units to try new things, make new friends and conquer the small task of changing the world.

The Explorer Sea Scout programme is based on a similar programme to that of the Explorer Scouts, but the focus is shifted more towards water based training and experiences.

Friday evenings during school term time, from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

The Scout Group is actively looking to recruit new volunteers to allow us to reopen our Explorer section, if you would be interested then please get in contact.
