Kayaking – Friday 24th October 2025 (ESS only)

Pinkston Watersports 75 N Canal Bank St, Glasgow G4 9XP, UK

This kayaking session is for the Explorer Sea Scouts only.

The session will start at 7pm and will last until 9pm. The cost for the session is £5 per person (please pay on the night in cash or by digital banking). Full details and a kit list will be sent the week of the event.
We have limited space in the minibus, if you are able to help with transport indicate this on the form. I will contact all people who offer to help with transport to confirm that they are required.

Sunny weather – take extra care afloat

It’s not always cold and wet in Scotland, when it is a hot summer’s day please be extra careful when spending the day at Largs. You will burn far quicker on the water as the sun is reflected off the water.

We ask that you:

  • Stay hydrated – drink plenty of fluids
  • Wear sunscreen – re-apply throughout the day
  • Protect your eyes – consider wearing sun glasses
  • Cover up – Long sleeves and a baseball cap
  • If you feel unwell, please tell one of the Leaders.
