Activity Booking

Welcome to the booking system for the 29th Glasgow Scout Group’s water activities. Below you will see a list of the any available activities. All activities are provisional and will only happen if there is sufficient interest from Scouts and also Leader availability.

How to book
  • Click on the activity you wish to book, and follow the instructions.
  • Explorers please use all the “Explorer only” tickets before using the other type.
  • As previously, you will still pay on the day for your activity, so please select the “Offline” option when booking, then “Proceed”.
  • Once you have made a successful booking you will receive a confirmation email (registered users only). A full list of participants is shown at the bottom of each booking page, so double check your name appears in the list.
  • Please note – Any booking without a full Participant Name will now be deleted.
Amending bookings
  • Registered users can review / cancel any of your bookings by clicking on the “User Profile” menu

Event Details

This powerboating session is open to all Cubs.

This day will allow the cubs to get afloat on one of the Scout Group's powerboats for one of the two activity sessions. The Cubs will all get an opportunity to drive the boat. The second activity session of the day will be a land based activity run by the Cub leaders.

Cubs taking part will gain, as a minimum, one unit of their Time on the Water staged badge and Nautical Skills stage 1 activity badges.

The cost for the Cub powerboating day is £10, please pay on the day.

This is a contribution towards providing transport and the insurance and maintenance of the boats and equipment.

Equipment list

The following kit should be brought with you when coming on the water powerboating.

  • Packed lunch
  • A full change of clothes
  • A towel
  • A pair of shoes that can get wet or wellies
  • Waterproofs
  • Warm clothes
  • Suncream, yes it is sometimes sunny and when it is you can burn very quickly on the water.
