Sunny weather – take extra care afloat

It’s not always cold and wet in Scotland! When it is a hot summer’s day please be extra careful when on the water – you will burn far quicker on the water as the sun is reflected off the water.

We ask that you:

  • Stay hydrated – drink plenty of fluids
  • Wear sunscreen – re-apply throughout the day
  • Protect your eyes – consider wearing sun glasses
  • Cover up – Long sleeves and a baseball cap
  • Tell a leader, if you feel unwell.
